Niacin treatment for Cellulite

Niacin is an essential B vitamin (Vitamin B3). It is available as an over the counter supplement in the form of niacinamide or nicotinic acid. Nicotinic acid has been used for years to lower bad cholesterol while also increasing the levels of good cholesterol (HDL). It is often used to aid in the detoxification of fatty tissue. Nicotinic acid works by dilating the tiny blood vessels allowing nutrients to enter and toxins to leave these areas. Cellulite tissue is often accompanied by bad blood circulation because the tiny capillaries have been damaged and can no longer open. Vitamin B3 strengthens capillaries and therefore ensuring a good blood supply to the areas.

Niacin is cheap and effective. Start with a dose of 100mg a day. You may experience a flushing effect but this is ok because it is associated with the blood vessels dilating. Slowly increase your intake up to 500mg a day. Try this for a month to see if it helps with your cellulite. However, it is not recommended to take in such high doses long term because of the risk of liver damage. It is very safe though to take as part of a detoxification programme short term.

Homeopathic Therapies for Cellulite

After doing some research I decided to give homeopathic salts a go. I have widespread cellulite and stretch marks that are  from puberty. These would be treated as hypopigmentated scars. I have started taking X6 Calc Fluor, X6 Nat Sulp and X6 Silicea, 4 tablets three times a day to begin with. I may increase the frequency and take a higher potency X30. The salts taste sweet has they contain lactose which I find quite addictive. I will update my progess and results soon.

Infrared Sauna for Cellulite

What is an infrared sauna? A sauna that uses infrared heat (the sun minus its harmful rays) instead of steam. Infrared can penetrate the further than steam, heating the fatty layers and drawing out those toxins. Many people believe the sun has healing properties and they're right, infrared heat will heal your skin! Infra red heat is been used to treat many conditions such as pain and aches, poor circulation and improving healing. A portable infra red sauna can be bought from ebay for around 200 pounds which is quite cheap compared to salon treatments.

But do they actually work in improving cellulite???
